I Am Legend

I-Am-Legend-Richard-Matheson

Robert Neville is alone, the soul surviving human in Los Angeles, a city that once housed millions.  The rest of the population has been changed.  Transformed by a virus of unknown origin, what were once rational people now stalk the city at night in search of blood.  The story is the same the world over.  For some reason Robert is immune to the sickness.

At night he barricades himself in his home. Vampires regularly congregate outside trying to find a way in.  Crucifixes and mirrors of old vampire folklore ward off some, but not all.

By day he hunts.  Searching the dark places of the ruined city for the creatures and killing them with a stake through the heart.

But vampires are not the only demons he must fight.  He must also live with the demons in his own mind as the crushing loneliness threatens his very sanity.  His only hope is to find a cure for the sickness and bring humanity back from the brink.

  1. Your webpage layout is great, I think your very organized and exciting. When you talk about the story your explaining, my imagination starts to go. Scifi stories I enjoy cause, I like the action and the different types of species in those books lol. Your webpage is looking great, keep it up!

    • Hi Carlos. Thanks for the wonderful comments and encouragement. It takes time to write an original description for each book. But I love Scifi, and that keeps me going. Glad you enjoyed the site. Thanks again.

      Mike.

  2. Hi!

I love reading and i am huge fan of sci-fi. I would love to read this book as I already saw the movie and in general BOOKS > MOVIES. By the way, I think what you are doing is great cause it is not easy to bring out your OWN review on a story, you really need to understand it so other people get an idea of what it is about. Keep going with the great job!

    • Hi Enzo. I agree it’s hard to make a really good movie adaptation that truely lives up to the book. But sometimes the movie can encorage people to read the book as well. I enjoy writing my reviews and will be adding more. Thanks for your comment.

      Mike.
