So-Long,-and-Thanks-for-All-the-Fish-Douglas-Adams

This is part four of a “trilogy” of five books.

Arthur arrives back on Earth.  This is puzzling, as Earth was destroyed a number of years earlier by the Vogons.  Unable to solve this riddle he elects to slip back into his old life, and soon finds himself in love with a woman named Fenchurch who’s feet don’t quite touch the ground.

This anomaly along with others such as where all the dolphins went sends Arthur and Fenchurch on a journey that ultimately leads them to the planet where God’s final message to the universe is written.  There, Arthur is reunited with Marvin the android who, thanks to so much time travel, is now 37 times older than the universe.
